Hunter Horizon 272 for sale
Advert added to marketplace: 24th April 2018
This is a fine example of a Hunter Horizon 272, built in 1991. The Yanmar inboard engine was replaced in 2009, with a two cylinder Nanni Diesel N2.14E and a three-bladed propeller fitted. She has a main sail, genoa, self-tacking jib, and cruising chute with spinnaker and whisker poles, providing options for a skipper sailing single-handed or with crew. Equipment includes an Autohelm 1800 tiller pilot, fitted GPS, VHF, Raymarine Tridata (speed/depth) (2009), AIS receiver and removable Garmin GPSMAP 451 chart plotter (2014).
The Hunter Horizon 272 has twin keels, and with a draft of 0.99m, she can moor in the shallow harbours and estuaries of the Solent. The open plan saloon has a chart table and folding dining table, stainless steel sink, cool box and 2-burner gas cooker with oven and grill. Although the 272 is usually described as 6-berth, we consider that 3 adults can have a comfortable holiday on board, with all their wet weather gear etc. Forward is a raised double (storage beneath) and the saloon seats make two good-sized singles, also with ample storage beneath. The aft cabin sleeps 1 adult comfortably, two at a squeeze. The heads have a sea toilet and hand basin with storage space.
