Twin Axle Trailer

A bit of a story – stay with it!!
The trailer was built for the Duette I keep on the River Rance in Brittany, France. We used it to get the boat there and it’s sat in the garden for the last five years – rent free! The house is now sold and, although I’d prefer to keep the boat on its mooring, keeping the trailer will mean paying the yard storage.
It’s of little use to a French owner as trailers need a registraion certificate – only on a farm or boatyard. An English buyer who has a UK registered car could use it, maybe after adapting it for another use.
So, do I pay to bring it back empty and sell it in the UK; I have nowhere to keep it at the moment. If anyone might be interested in buying it, I wouldn’t ask much. I’ve no idea what it’s worth. £300 is a guess!! Perhaps a few members could share it if there was somewhere to keep it? We live in Fareham, Hampshire. Any input would be gratefully received!
The tyres are OK and Ben Jones at Compass Trailers serviced the running gear last month. Will need some TLC and a little welding to make it tip top, but it’s serviceable as it stands. Has a winch and 5M launching bar.
As for the boat – I want to keep it to sail when we go over to France, 2 -3 times a year. However, I did wonder if it might be a good candidate as a boat share for a small group of people who visit North Brittany on a fairly regular basis to spread the cost (very low!) Festina Lente is on a swinging mooring at Greve de Garel, Minihic-Sur-Rance – a beautiful location.
I’ll be very pleased to hear your thoughts.
